A Note from Pastor Jason

I had a realization this week that honestly blew my mind a little bit…

Last Tuesday marked our 100th blog post at Rocky Valley.

When we started doing these, the goal was pretty simple: find another way to take what God is doing in our church beyond the walls of our building and into the everyday lives of people.

Every Tuesday, Echos from the Valley gives us an opportunity to revisit the sermon from the Sunday before. It isn’t meant to simply repeat the message, but to pull out a truth from God’s Word and give us something to carry into the week.

Then on Thursdays, Light in the Valley gives us a chance to look at something happening in culture, our community, our families, or just everyday life and ask an important question:

How should a Christian think about this?

Because our faith was never intended to be confined to a church building for an hour on Sunday morning. The Word of God should shape the way we see everything—our homes, our work, our relationships, our culture, our decisions, and the world around us.

And somehow, one Tuesday and Thursday at a time, we have now reached 100 blogs.

That blows my mind.

I am incredibly grateful for the people who work behind the scenes to make sure these get posted, formatted, shared, and put in front of people every week. Ministry like this may have one person’s name attached to the words, but there are always people faithfully serving behind the scenes who help those words reach others.

And I am equally thankful for YOU—the people who actually take the time to read them.

There is a lot competing for our attention every day. The fact that so many of you stop scrolling long enough to read something from Rocky Valley means more than you probably realize.

What excites me most is the opportunity.

Social media certainly has its problems, but it also gives us an incredible mission field. With one post, we can share a little bit of Rocky Valley, a little bit of ourselves, and most importantly, the truth of God’s Word with people who may never walk through our doors.

So as we move beyond Blog #100, would you help us keep going?

When you see Echos from the Valley or Light in the Valley, take a moment to like it and share it. You never know whose feed it may land on, who may need that encouragement that day, or who may encounter a biblical truth they desperately needed to hear.

A simple click of the share button can help carry the message farther than we ever could on our own.

One hundred blogs down—and, Lord willing, many more to come.

Thank you for reading.

Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for encouraging us.

We are excited to keep sharing a little bit of Rocky Valley with a whole lot more people.

And above everything else, our prayer remains the same:

May Jesus be known, may His Word be proclaimed, and may we continue to be a Light in the Valley.
