From my family to yours, and from all of us at Rocky Valley Baptist Church, we want to wish you a very Merry Christmas.
In the middle of the lights, the gatherings, the meals, and the memories, Christmas invites us to pause and remember why this season exists at all. Christmas is not just a celebration of tradition—it is the celebration of a Person. It is the reminder that God stepped into our broken world with love, humility, and hope.
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
— Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)
The world often feels heavy—filled with uncertainty, division, and weariness. Yet Christmas reminds us that God did not leave us to navigate the darkness alone. Jesus came as Emmanuel, God with us (Matthew 1:23), bringing light where there was darkness and hope where there was despair.
“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.”
— Isaiah 9:2
The manger tells us that hope doesn’t always arrive with fanfare or force. Sometimes it comes quietly, humbly, wrapped in grace. And that same Jesus—born in Bethlehem—still offers forgiveness, peace, and eternal life today.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
— John 3:16
As you celebrate Christmas, our prayer is that you would not only enjoy the season, but truly experience the Savior. May your home be filled with peace, your heart with gratitude, and your life with the hope that only Christ can give.
Merry Christmas,
Pastor Jason
