Seasons

As the seasons change around us — the leaves turning, the air cooling, the days shortening — we’re reminded that change is woven into the rhythm of life. Yet for many of us, change isn’t always comfortable. Just as the chill of autumn replaces the warmth of summer, we sometimes walk through spiritual or cultural seasons that leave us wondering what God is doing and why things look so different than they used to.
But even when everything around us shifts, God never changes. His Word reminds us, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). The same God who guided His people through the wilderness, who calmed the storm on the sea, and who raised His Son from the grave — is the same God who walks with you through every season of your life.
When culture drifts, when times feel uncertain, or when our personal paths seem unclear, we can rest on this truth: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).
Even when we can’t see the whole picture, God is at work behind the scenes, shaping and strengthening us for His glory and our good. What feels like a cold season may be preparing the soil for new growth.
So as the weather changes and the world shifts, let’s hold fast to the One who never does. Seasons may come and go — but our Savior remains the same.
