Highlight Reel

We live in a world where the highlight reel has become the whole movie.

Likes have replaced love.

Filters have replaced authenticity.

And followers have replaced true fellowship.

It’s easy to start believing that our worth is found in how well we perform online — in the picture that gets the most comments, the caption that sounds the deepest, or the post that proves we’re “doing fine.” But behind the perfectly crafted posts, many hearts are quietly asking: “Do I really know who I am?”

The truth is — the persona we present online is often the mask we wear to hide our deepest insecurity. And yet, God has already spoken into our identity long before the first selfie, the first story, or the first scroll.

📖 Galatians 2:20 reminds us:

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.”

Your identity isn’t defined by your platform — it’s defined by your position in Christ.

When we chase approval from people, we’ll always come up empty. But when we rest in who we are in Jesus — loved, forgiven, chosen, redeemed — we find peace that no algorithm can manipulate and no comment section can shake.

📖 Ephesians 2:10 says,

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.”

That means your purpose isn’t to impress the world — it’s to express His glory.

The “likes” fade, but His love remains. The platform changes, but His promises do not.

So today, take a breath. Log off if you need to. Spend time with the One who doesn’t need your highlight reel — just your heart.

Because your truest self isn’t the one the world sees online…

It’s the one Christ is shaping daily from the inside out.
